About us
Gurkhas Mart is a Nepali and South Asian mart in Romania. We are a shop you can walk into, and this website sells from the same shelves.
We stock what an ordinary supermarket here does not carry: Nepali and South Asian groceries, traditional clothing and makeup, all under one roof.
What we sell
The shop is arranged in three departments. Browse every shelf to see what is in stock today.
- Groceries. Instant noodles, thukpa and chowmein, achar and chutneys, mustard oil, masyaura and more of the pantry staples a Nepali kitchen runs on.
- Beauty. Makeup and beauty products.
- Clothing. Kurthas and sarees. Each one shows the sizes and colours it comes in on its own page.
Know what you are buying
Online, you cannot turn a pack over and read the label, so every product page does it for you.
- Food. Its allergens, ingredients and net quantity, plus the price per kilogram or litre for anything sold by weight or volume.
- Beauty. The full ingredient list, under the standard INCI names printed on cosmetics packaging.
- Clothing. The fibres each piece is made of.
Allergens, cosmetic ingredients and fibre composition are legal requirements for selling at a distance in the EU, and a product cannot go on sale here until its declaration is filled in.
Allergen information comes from the manufacturer's own packaging. Recipes do change, so if you have an allergy, the pack in your hand has the final word. If it disagrees with our page, tell us and we will correct the page.

The shelves in the shop change faster than the website, so if you cannot see something here, it may still be in store. Ask us before you make the trip.
You can also order online and collect from the shop. Collection is free, and if you are nearby it is usually the quickest way to get your order.
Delivery across Romania
We deliver anywhere in Romania for a flat rate, shown in your basket before you pay. Orders over 150,00 lei are delivered free.
Orders are packed and sent on working days. Shipping & delivery explains the cut-off, how long delivery takes and how chilled food travels.
If something arrives damaged, wrong, missing or past its date, we will put it right, and you never pay to send back our mistake. Returns & refunds explains how.

Our search knows the different ways a name can be spelt, so achar and aachar find the same products, and Romanian works with or without diacritics.
If we do not stock something you are used to, tell us what it is. If we can source it, we usually will.
